Farm to Fashion: The Journey of Your Sweater

Farm to Fashion: The Journey of Your Sweater

It starts with a sunrise and a quiet hum of life in the pasture.

For us, every piece begins with care for the animals, not in a factory, but in a field. Our alpacas are raised on open land, with fresh air, clean water, and space to roam. Their well being is our top priority, and we believe that love shows up in the final product.

Shearing day is a community affair, a gentle process done once a year to keep the animals healthy and comfortable. Each fleece is collected with care, sorted by hand, and sent to trusted small-scale mills who know how to preserve the softness and integrity of the fiber.

From there, the yarn is spun and either returned to us or transformed into garments by artisan partners who share our values. Every stitch tells a story of clean air, quiet mornings, and a connection to something deeper.

We believe transparency is part of trust. That’s why we want you to know how your clothing is made, who made it, and why we do things a little differently. And we encourage you to ask questions!

This isn’t fast fashion. It’s thoughtful. It’s enduring. It’s rooted in the rhythm of nature and the hands of people who care.

When you wear Misty Acres Alpaca clothes, you carry a piece of our farm with you. A whisper of the pasture. A touch of the real life.
